I was met at the door by a young man who claimed to be trying to do good by selling magazines for orphanages. I asked for I. D and other information, and he did not seem to have anything? I looked at a receipt and got the company name and address. He asked for $5 or $10?"pocket change", and I then noticed his "trainee" heading up our street. Our neighbor informed us after we luckily gave him no, oney, that this company had been asked to leave town twice now... She tried to keep them at her house after having called the cops. We have a lot of older folks in our neighborhood who should not have to deal with this scam! I noticed the reports here on checking to verify the company.
