I recieved a call (identified on caller ID as "Jamaica" 876-871-3886) from a man identifing as being with Gold Rush Sweepstakes.
He said I had won $5,000, 000.00 and a Mercedes Benz which would be delivered to my house today. He verified my name and address and asked if I had already been contacted over this.
I told him I did not believe this and had not entered a sweepstakes by that name.
He said that any time you entered Publishing Clearing House or he named several other sweepstakes which I don't remember, your name is automatically entered in all sweepstakes.
He wanted me to send $299.00 by money gram or western union. As soon as they recieved the money, someone would deliver my "prizes" today. And someone would accompany me to my bank to deposit my winnings.
I told him I still did not believe him, he responded that he would not be wasting his time if this were not for real and argued several other points.
So I went ahead and got the address and phone number:
