I placed an online order with ecost.com. I received a return e-mail from them with an order confirmation number and the following statements: "your purchase is complete" and "upon shipment of your item (s), you will receive an email..."
I was led to believe that my order was accepted.
I then received a second email from ecost.com stating they would not honor my order of their special offer. I can, however pay twice the listed price to get the product. (Bait and Switch)? I called customer service and after a Looong wait for a supervisor I was informed that they would not, in fact, honor their original confirmation at the original price. After other calls to them they did make me an offer to pay $70 for their product that was advertised at $42.99
I feel this is poor business practice. Based upon my comments I do not recommend purchasing products with ecost.com. While customer service was nice, I got the feeling they had no interest in my complaint what so ever.
Ecost.com is not, in my view, a reliable on-line company to do business with!
