Bought a Microsoft wireless mouse from Office Depot. It quit working suddenly after only two months. I returned to the store with the receipt, the item and the packaging. I only wanted to exchange the item for the same thing. I was told that the return policy was 14 days on technology items and the store refused to budge on that policy.
I had had similar situations arise with a product I purchased at Staples. Main difference was that Staples treated me as a valuable customer, professionally handled the transaction and earned the respect of this customer.
It was my intent to purchase a new printer I had seen advertised at Office Depot as soon as I completed my exchange. As a result a bad company policy and little or no employee training in customer service I decided to pay a little more and buy from Staples.
