I called DTV regarding having Quest take over my billing, and why not? For two bills being printed one one piece of paper, I get to save $5.00. While on the phone, I asked about getting a DVR for my home. I was told by the gentleman that I spoke with that they were $99, however, they were on special for $49. WOW! Sign me up and get one to me! The appointment was set for a man to come to my home and set this box up in my home. The appointment was kept, and oh what a happy camper I was not having to watch those silly sci-fi shows that my husband enjoys so much! Life is already looking brighter with no Stargate Atlantis! Then i get my bill. But I'm a little confused because I do not see this discounted rate on my bill, so I call DTV and am told at that time that because that nice gentleman I spoke with did not note his account well enough that I am NOT getting the discounted rate, but have to pay the full balance. Now, I gotta tell you, I am not so happy at this point. With a husband out of work, and being a customer of DTV for a year with NO PAYING ISSUES, No phone calls to say where is our money, they tell me to eat the $51 because Junior didn't know how to complete his notes. I request to speak with a supervisor, and the woman I am speaking with comes back on and states that the supervisor says I have to pay the full amount because there are no notes n this account EVEN THOUGH THE DVR IS STILL BEING OFFERED AT THE DISCOUNTED RATE I CANNOT GET THAT EVEN NOW BECAUSE I HAVE THE SYSTEM AT HOME ALREADY!!! You have got to be kidding me! I write them a check, but minus the $51. Then I get a DISCONNECT NOTICE IN THE MAIL! On the same day a collector calls my cell phone to tell me that if i do not pay the past due $51 and the current charges my service will be disconnected! Oh, and she will email my her supervisor with my ire and they will contact me. BULL! How many times did I sit on the phone ON HOLD for 20 MINUTES waiting to speak to just that person!!! Your lack of customer service is reprehensible, your billing is reprehensible and the 3rd grade drop outs you have on staff fall short of ignorant!
