I received a call in the morning stating I had won 2 million dollars and a flat screen T.V. Man stated his name was Morgan White and that he was a christian with kids so I could trust him.
He then stated that to cover insurance and handling/delivery fees, I must send 425$ via western union to a Nicholas Green in Montego Bay. Claimed that FBI was taping conversation and would send a black limo with FBI escort to take me to the bank with my prize. Playing along to get as much info as possible, I stated that I would be on my way to western union within the half hour but was worried because I didn't have that much money. He stated that I could send just 200$ to receive my check. I asked if they could just take it out of my supposed 2 million. He stated this was impossible and fees must be paid up front, and that the limo was already on the way to my house. Still haven't seen it. =)
He then gave me the number 1-876-370-4135 to call with my 10 digit confirmation code. I said I would call after I completed the transaction. I immediately called back and my phone said that this international long distance call could not be completed as dialed.
He called back a couple of minutes later and I told him that I had already received calls like this one and I didn't appreciate him using the lord's name in vain. I am not a christian but it's wrong to prey on people's religious views. He then relentlessly continued to call until I told him that I was on the FBI and the BBB website and knew that it was a scam and to stop calling me. I hope no one falls victim to this, you NEVER have to pay to receive a sweepstakes winning.
