I applied for a customer service job using career builder and saw the advertisement of space payroll. I met all the "inital" requirements so I decided to apply for the position. I then received an email informing me that the job consisted of them depositing money into my bank account, then I would withdraw the money, keep 8%, and send the rest to them. The person that wrote the email have to had been from another country because the sentence structure of the email was all broken up.
I responded to the email letting them know that I'm not an idiot and that I was going to report them. I then checked careerbuilder.com the next day, and low in the hole, the "company" had already deactivated the ad. When I searched again for the job, careerbuilder indicated that the posting was expired. Note I put "company" in parenthesis, because this was a rip-off from the start. I did my research too, and could not find any background information on the company. I hope that no one is crazy enough to fall for this.
