Allows Attorney General's office to willfully destroy all key evidence in the case with no sanctions - then all covered up

Corruption in New York courts is the new cancer the press won't report. You won't read about it in the press - no one dares incur the wrath of the State's court system - or else. Only on the Internet are the victims of such evil crimes able to find a voice - or even an audience.
My wife, Barbara, was a hard-working New York State corrections officer. While on duty she was sexually harassed then brutally raped by her supervisor, captain of the facility, William E. Peek. There was a very swift and short investigation and the whole thing was whitewashed. My wife was fined, suspended and threatened with dismissal if she ever repeated her false allegations. After my wife returned to work she was again verbally abused and victimized. She fell and broke her neck, narrowly avoiding a fatal injury leaving her permanently disabled.

But later her attacker, feeling remorse, contacted my wife and confessed to his crimes. My wife, on advice of her attorney, was able to get him to admit his crimes once more on secretly tapes phone calls. Not only did he admit raping her, he confessed that he was part of a conspiracy among officers to cover up other crimes, including the systemic brutalisation and rape of young black inmates.
My wife took her case to New York State's Division of Human Rights. But as soon as they could, a corrupt NY government seized all my wife's tapes and destroyed them.
In court, a hostile state judge pressured my wife's attorney into withdrawing from the case when he motioned the court for a remedy for the deliberate destruction of her evidence. We couldn't get any other lawyers to take on the case because they feared the State of New York would retaliate against them. We took the case forward on our own, pro se and motioned the court for a remedy and sanctions against NY State for destroying all the evidence. But crooked judges ignored us and the case was dismissed for lack of evidence.'
We were shocked by such blatant and open corruption. But we refused to quit and we found an honest Supreme Court judge, Hon K. O'Connor, who granted my wife a special Article 78 hearing to compel the Division of Human Rights to appear before the Appellate Division, Third Dept.in Albany to explain their unlawful conduct.

The case was building into a potential political major scandal when we uncovered absolute proof in documents and courtroom depositions that the NY Attorney General's office had hidden the destruction of three of seven of our tapes. But we hadn't counted on the justices of Albany's Appellate Court being as corrupt as the rest of NY government.

Just two weeks before our hearing Governor Paterson bizarrely appointed a rookie justice to head the five-judge panel. She was lesbian Justice Elizabeth A. Garry, of Chenango County. Sure enough, Justice Garry duly acted as Paterson's puppet and on May 14 illegally switched my wife's Article 78 hearing into an ordinary appeal and threw the case out.By unlawfully treating the hearing as if it were an ordinary appeal the court could allow the NY State defendants to avoid answering why they criminally destroyed all my wife's evidence.

Like many lawyers had warned us, NY courts will let NY State government break any laws they want - we had no chance. But any layperson looking at the court's website under Bracci-v-State Division of Human Rights' (Case no: 506150) can see that my wife was cheated of her right to an Article 78 special hearing because nowhere in the fake judgment of May 14 does the phrase Article 78' even appear in the Appellate Court's corrupt decision.

We still haven't got over the shock of the depths New York government will stoop to get away with raping and nearly killing my wife. We have since found other victims of court corruption in the New York just like us. Our case now sits in a growing pile of other similar cases headed for the federal courts.

We will fight on and never quit - but what will President Obama and the federal authorities do to restore faith in our legal system? Scum like this need more than a tap on the hand - they must face criminal federal prosecution. Please, Mr. President, clean up this country's corrupt courts!
Most truly,

John
