Gold Rush Lottery
Promised this was for real!

Just got off the phone from someone from Gold Rush Lottery. Told me my name was picked at random from "paying my bills on time". Said I had won 1.5 million dollars and a new Mercedes car. I just had to wire $450 to some guy in Kingston, Jamaica, WI to cover insurance and that 2 delivery guys from UPS and 2 US marshals and his company lawyer were driving around on my street waiting to see my ID and receipt from the money transfer. (He even said how many cars I have in my driveway and what color they are - WEIRD and unsettling). The caller said as soon as I got back the delivery guys would see and they would hand me the certified check for 1.5 million dollars.

I told him I didn't feel comfortable sending money to get money. He PROMISED this was real. I said he could deduct the 450 from my winnings and keep the car - he said they couldn't do that. He once again PROMISED this was legit and said I could completely trust him. I said that I would PROMISE to wire even 10,000 dollars if I could cash the check first and see that it was legit - he said no of course.

He of course was trying to entice me the whole time saying what wonderful things I could do for my kids. And supposedly the second place winner also lives on my street (and he gave me her name and address and what color van she has in front of her house). Amazing how coincidental that is - out the entire country - the second and third place winners just happen to live on the same street.

After going back and forth for about a half hour, the caller said since we weren't getting anywhere and since I couldn't cover the $450 because I was "poor" that they would send me a check for the $450 and then we can move on from there. I'm not holding my breath.
