My wife got the rip off letter and legimate looking check on June 29th. After reading the letter with the instructions on what to do we sprayed it with air freshner because it smelled so bad. I took a look at the envelope it came in and it was postmarked in Canada. A business in Georgia sending mail with a Canada postmark. 1st big clue.
The check for $2,966.00 was from Patton Contractors, Inc.in Fort Worth, Texas. 2nd big clue.
I then checked on the Internet about the business and found numerous complaints against it. I hope no one falls for this obvious scam. Like the old saying goes: If it's too good to be true, it's not!!! True.
