Hello We know His Daughter "Julia", On the 28th day of April, She came up to and was telling me that her Father, (Clifford Sprouse) had goten some HUD
home cheap, and She was asking me if I would like to see the one he had on Chestnut St in Rockhill, SC. So that afternoon, we did ride with Julia, to come and see this Home..
It was a mess in side, all the walls were black from a oil heater going on from the people who use to live in here, Julie, told us that her dad got this home
back in 11 and her and her husband, had been working in side every week end, I did ask what have you all been doing seeing there is still all this work to be done in here, the home had a smell of dog droping in more than one room, there were floors that needed to be replaced, and it was a mess in every room, any work Julia and her husband did, was left a mess to be cleaned up because her husband nor her self did any cleaning up after them self, if thay did work. The mess was left.
Ok Her father met us and told us (In person) that if we did all the painting in side and we did the Kitchen floor, he would do good by us, more than once I did ask for a lease with that showing where this was to be true and that if we did it we would have a lease to show what was what..
WE got took. Mr. Sprouse, gave a us a date that all the work had to be done by which was May 28, so that gave us 1 month to make sure we did all the painting in this 8 rooms house 4 of them at bed rooms, plus i had to re do the hard wood floor in the dinner room.
We got it all done by May26 So he let us move in. No lease. I did speak to His daughter Julia, who spoke to her Mother, On June 1, her mother took off a half of day from work because from what she told me if we needed a lease that she would see what she could do " but right up front her told me " Clifford and I " dont believe we need a lease in any of the homes we have " but If you need one for the Power company let me know and I will do you one.
I did ask her about all the work we did in side of this home and she said Both Her and Clifford would stand by there word to us. What a lie that was More than once Clifford had come here to talk to us, like he did on
June 10, at which time, he spoke of Us doing a lease to buy this home from him and how he was going to take care of it all with his Lawyer. Another lie...
We had called there home because of a hot water link in the kicthen sink which all of them knew about, and told us some one would be by to take care of it, On June 12 Clifford sent his son in law over here to take a look at it, he was cutting some thing and cut the pile off and hot water was going all over, he came to me and my husband and told us that he had to turn the hot water off so we didnt have any, any where in this house for 4 days.
On June 18 we got a call from Clifford asking us to come to his Bank On Main st in rock hill, sc and be on time because he had to be in York, Sc by 10:30, that he has done up a lease for us.
Clifford, was writen on the lease and crossing off stuff, He told me to put my name with out any date that he would write that in when he wrote his name, Now this took place in front of a Lady who works at this Bank, she wrote her name and when I did ask may I read this first Clifford told me listen I dont have time for all this..
It is just saying it what we had spoke on. Taken his word, I put my name down with out taken a look at it first. My mistake. But he is smart. After he wrote his name I said "Clifford there is no date on mine or your" His words to me and my husband " and there not going to be - I am putting on this one I have that this took place On May28.
I went back to where we setting in front of Amber and I did ask her to please put a date to show we just have this done in front of her. I also spoke to the Bank Manager and she is willing to show the Tape's to show where June18 was the date we were all in her Bank.
Well on June 22 he shows up here asking for money..
And every thing changed to listen I need $660.00 or i will see you out in the street, and I can rent this place now and you did all the work for nothing.
He knows what he is doing and he will use you and your money now we are out the sum of over $800.00 in every thing that we had to get to the work in side..
We were fool's please dont any one else be. I have goten a lawyer and I will see him in court. He told us he was going to come back on June29 and
will see what takes place. GOD BLess
