I am a minority owened small business. I got a phone today, 6/22/09 from a Damian Robinson, sayinhg that he is with Commercial Assets Investigation and the firm of W.C. French gave him the order to investigate my company!
That he will come tomorrow 6/23/09 and wants to see everything in my books, bank account, inventory, take pictures of my warehouse, check all my vendors and sources! Really to investigate all my business and my financial assets and activity, without due process of law, without a judge order, without a court order or without a search warrant!
Just by telling me that he was hired by W.C. French law firm, which reaserching I found out that they in fac t are a collection agency and that they have 261 (and that was in June!) complaints of Ripp-Off activities with small owners and small business with The Better Business Bureau of Dallas, TX. I am located in DE!
What it is the business of this W.C. French in DE? And how he can investigate my business -without due process of law?
I just want everyone who gets this type of scaring, intimidating and threatning calls from somebody saying that he or her is a private investigator hired by W.C. French to know that it is a scam, it is something unlawful and do not let them come even 20 Ft from your place of business.
I am going to also contact the Attorny General of DE and advise about this man, Damian Robinson, who said that he was hired by W.C. French law firm, (but did not know even where they are located, and had only a toll free no. For them) and who said that he is with Commercial Assets Investigation, who was very abusive and threatning on the phone, saying that he is coming tomorrow to investigate my business.
This is a scam to get into your financials and they go after small and minority owened businesses thinking that a minority or a woman will be an easier target.
