JACK ROON ROONS CHIHUAHUAS SELLING SICK PUPPIES ripoff abused & mistreated consumer rip-off fraud

I have asked jack roon of roons kennels to assist me in getting this puppy healthy as of today 5/11/03 mr roon has continued to slander me and refuse to take any responsibility even to my vet clearly states that bella has had this condition since birth.

Are you searching for a chihuahua puppy? I recently purchased a puppy from

Jack roon
roon's kennels
61726 m-40,
paw paw, mi 49079-9210
phone number 269-657 2417

Please be aware that mr. Roon will tell you that i am a liar and that i am crazy and off my rocker a potential buyer told me that mr roon had slandered me this way. For this reason i am posting the exact language that is in bella's vet records.

Please read bella's story and be carefull when you purchase your new puppy.

Even i can get starry eyed and love a puppy at first sight.

I searched the web in March and found Mr. Roons advertisement. Oh, his webpage appeared very nice and it reads like he would be an ethical breeder. I contacted Mr Roon and arranged to purchase Bella from him. I Pre-paid Mr Roon for Bella and arranged to pick her up on March 16. I traveled to MI on 3/16 to pick Bella up. Mr. Roon was waiting for me outside. He told me to wait outside while we went inside and got Bella. Mr. Roon gave me nothing else said he would have to mail her papers. The first thing my husband and I noticed was the way she smelled so, we stopped at target and bought some doggie wipes and gave her quick wipe down. Bella started having a runny nose on the way home. I started looking her over and her eyes were running, nose running, later she started coughing. I started beating myself up, I should know better than to purchase a puppy this way. This was on a Sunday night. Monday morning I took Bella to the vet. This is what my vet recorded in Bella's Records:
Vet Records:
3/17/03 Checked Eyes Watering
Open Fontanella (morula, "soft spot" on the top of the skull)
Conjuntivitis
Prescribed: Neobacimyx in both eyes twice a day for ten days.
Monitor for caughing and sneezing and isolate till know O.K.

My hopes:
O. K I am hopefull that she will respond to the treatment the Dr. Prescribed and that Bella will be all-right.

Bella Presents:
Bellas eyes clear up but her coughing and sneezing get worse. I make another Vet apointment:

Vet Records:
4/7/03 Upper respritory congestion Withe Nasal discharge. Vomitimg bile. Still has fairly large open fontanel.
Parvo test (neg)
Prescribed: Continue to feed bland diet. Amoxil. 05cc twice a day.

I need to see back.

My hopes:
I am hopefull that Bella has has an infection and her cold will clear up with the Amoxil.

Bella Presents:
Bella's respritory infection does not respond to the Amoxil.By 4/14/03 Bella is crying out, Still caughing and has nasal discharge.

Vet Records:
4/15/03 Checked Eyes O.K. Serious nasal discharge. Continue with Clavamox.

My Hopes:
The Vet is hopefull that Bella will improve.
I am still worried I feel that something is wrong.

Bella Presents:
Bella's respritory infection has improved. She is playfull and has been nursing one of my mother dogs. She still cries out in her sleep alot. I am still concerned with that.

Vet Records:
4/23/03 Bella is doing better - not as aick as she was still caughing.
Prescribed Clavamox Drops 0.05cc POBID If no improvement will need to see back.

My Hopes: This is Bellas 3rd bottle of antibiotics and she has improved I am very hopefull.

Bella Presents:
Crying, Pacing the floor she will not stop! I can't calm her down. She is also very lethargic. She is very hard to wake up. I called my vet and was told to take Bella to the 24hr. Hospital.

Vet Records:
5/7/03 Diagnosis: Open Fontanella Hydrocephalus
Recommendations:
1. The Ultrasound of the brain revealed significant hydrodephalus. This is the likely cause of the neurologic abnormalities observed. The prognosis is guarded for Bella. If she does well over the next few weeks, it is possible she will be okay long term assuming the head is protected. Unfortunately it is hard to predict how these puppies will do. I feel confident in saying that this is a congenital defect. This means that Bella was born with this problem. I do not recommend this puppy be used for breeding purposes.
2. Please give the following medications:
s. Prednisone liquid 3mg/ml: give 0.02mls by mouth twice a day,
b. Lasix liquid 10mg/ml: give 0.15mls by mouth twice a day.
3. We should re-evaluate Bella in two weeks or sooner if Problems arise.
4. Please call if you have questions.
Hydrocephalus:
Definition:
Abnormal dialation of the Ventricular system from an increased volume of CSF.
Systems affected:
Nervous
Congenital-usually becomes apparent at a few weeks up to 1 year of age.
Signs:
Congenital may occur without clinical signs. Other malformations or anomalies of the CNS may be noted (e.G., malformations of the cerebellum or syringomyelia), which may further contribute to the constellation of signs.
Behavorial - Decreased conciousness: lack of or loss of training ability. Excessive sleepiness, vocalization, simetimes hyperxicitability.
Physical Exam Findings:
Head - may appear large and dome-shaped with and exaggerated "stop" open fontanelles.
Neurologic Examination Findings:
Cerebral disease-abnormal behavior (especially dullness and sleepiness), inappropriate vocalization, sometimes hyperexcitable.
Gait abnormalities-incoordinations, ataxia, and decreased postural reactions.
Congenital form - Malformation of the orbit during growth may result in a ventrolateral strabismus with normal oculophalic eye movements
Severely increased intracranial pressure stupor or coma. Pinpoint or dialted fixed pupils, abnormal respritory patterns, and decerebrate posture: may lead to fatal tentorial herniation.
Advise Patient:
Observe for deteriation in mental alertness and behavior, which may signal worsening of the problem. Clinical signs may not resolve completely: sesidual signs usually indicate irreversible brain damage. Monitor for exacerbation of the hydrocephalus. Complications may occur and present in Brain herniation and death.

Thank You
