I was offered a job as a mystery shopper and of course who would pass up the oppurtunity to shop. The guy Wood Martin would e-mail me informing me of my assignments. He shipped out a check to me for 3,200.00 and said I could have 320.00 for my first assignment. When the check arrived I looked at all the details on it. The check was the only thing in the envelope. Odd?
The check was from a company called the Bennett Pump Company? What does a pump company have to do with a mystery shopper? Hmmm? Something alerted me... Scamm... Not only that, but the check looked fake. The document did not have a graduate background that went from dark to light. The paint had been smeared. I could tell it was fake. I had worked with checks and payroll for a while and this check was fake.
Also, why would he want you to check for security systems and mail someone some large amount of money. It had to be a scam. If it was a real situation money would not be given out like candy. They trust us way to much with this large amount of cash that it seems too good to be true. Its common sence I guess. If you won't hand that much money out to a stranger then why would someone do it for us? Unless it's not real! They almost had me, but they didn't!
