This happened to me twice. I received an email saying that if I made a purchase in December (the first time it was November, a different year) I could take a free DVD in January. So, I ordered DVDs for Christmas.in January I received an email saying, "Take your free DVD with our thanks!" Inside, the email stated that I could take a free DVD with my order in January. I called and said that I was having trouble claiming the free DVD and was told again I must purchase another DVD to get the free one. When I explained that the original email advertised a free DVD for my December purchase, the customer service representative said, "No, that's not how it works." This company offers "Buy one, get one free" sales quite frequently, so as far as I can tell they actually gave nothing at all for the purchase made in December.
