Discriminates against individuals with unfair price gauging Online

I signed up with Geico 16 years ago. I was in the millitary and so was my ex husband. I was the primary on the account. When we got divorced, they raised my rates, blocked me out of the online account that he had access to and gave him a seperate policy with a cheaper rate even though he filed bankruptcy that did not include me. I kept complaining for almost two years later about being blocked out of my own online account. GEICO representatives took an attitude with me and explained they did it for security reasons. I am sure it had to do with stuff he was telling them as he is a convincing liar and he still had access to my policy.

The sad part is that I was a loyal customer for so many years only to be treated like I was not as important as my ex husband. It seemed that his business was more important to them and I know he is a vindictive liar that is still trying to wreck havoc on my life and my childrens lives.

GEICO really does descriminate and as others have found out, the reps ask you all kinds of questions that seem very personal with the intent to raise your rates with anything they can use against you as if their rates were not already high enough. For example, they don't ask you if you are married when signing up.

My credit score at the time was a 750 and they raised my rate by leaps and bounds after the divorce while his rate went down significantly even with a bankruptcy. He is a smooth talker. That suggest that if GEICO wants to find you a lower rate, then they can.

They are also in partnership with other corrupt affiliates such as Bank of America. Just read all the stuff on here about this bank. GEICO pressures you every month to sign up for automatic drafting with this bank. A nice little practice that I bet would be impossible to correct if you decided to cancel. I have an account with this bank which has received thousands of dollars from me in fees throughout the years. I now live on disability retirement, maybe that is the reason why.

Anyway, I was told by a rep that she would call me back in 30 minutes after she looked into getting me a cheaper rate. At first she was irate and started ranting off all the insurance claims my ex husband and his new wife have made claiming that was me. I canceled two days later and hope to have a better experience with my new carrier who is $600.00 less than GEICO for two cars with full coverage on both. I only had liability on the second car with GEICO. My next stop is to get away from Bank of America.
