BBA Free Paying Surveys
Mystery shopping scam

Beware of the BBA free paying survey company. Out of the blue, they will send you a check and tell you to deposit it. The check is supposedly your payment for being a mystery shopper, the money to do the shopping and the money you are supposed to use to wire money to some lady via Western Union.

I don't have to tell you to not deposit the check (I sure didn't). I also don't have to tell you to report this company via ftc. Gov (I sure did).

You may want to consider sending the check back w/o a return address or a signature.

But before you do anything, you may just need to save it for evidence. But whatever you do, don't cash the check. Also, be careful of entering too much of your actual personal information on web sites such as amazingfreelaptop.com, because some companies are just going to sell your info and you'll keep getting spam and junk mail.

Just remember that BBA is not legit (they have setups in Canada, England, Spain and Germany) and the down job market is no excuse to put your financial well-being on the line just for a check and scam that you should know is too good to be true.

Thank you to usacomplaints.com for reminding me to be skeptical and to report bad stuff like this. I know this has saved me time and money. I hope you all will avoid the pitfall as well.
