United Law Group - Richard Stinstrom
Announces New Lawyer: If He'd Steal Half a Million From His Family - What Do You Think He'd Do to You?

Here's an April 17 press release and of course, we had to put our two cents in marked in brackets. See the end of this post for a great big surprise.

Richard J. Stinstrom Joins United Law Group as Senior Litigation Attorney; Puts Philanthropic Passion to Work

Irvine, CA (PRWEB) April 17

United Law Group welcomes Richard J. Stinstrom to the role of senior litigation attorney. Focused on helping the firm's clients with foreclosure prevention and debt settlement, Stinstrom is an attorney with a passion for helping people. With over 15 years experience in the legal profession, this former Marine dedicates his down time to helping those in need. [Like Sean Rutledge give me ten, soldier! ]

United Law Group, the leading provider of legal foreclosure prevention and debt resolution services, welcomes seasoned litigator Richard J. Stinstrom to its Irvine, CA, office. As senior litigation attorney, Stinstrom will take the lead in real estate and banking consumer protection litigation cases. [What's he seasoned with? Lemon pepper, teriyaki, okra marinade? ]

United Law Group is an advocate for citizens who have been victimized by predatory loan modification companies and unethical lending practices from banks and other institutions. [Are they referring to their current or future customers? ]

The firm also provides resources for people to educate and protect themselves. Stinstrom fills a key position at the firm and embodies their philosophy for offering a hand up to those in need. [Good, we'll see.]

Richard Stinstrom is a strong litigator and a dynamic individual, said Sean Rutledge, Managing Director for United Law Group. A quick review of his resume reveals that he knows his stuff when it comes to the law. Talking to him gives you the rest of the story. [Comments reserved, see the end of this post.]

For Stinstrom, the rest of the story includes a history of helping others through various charities and philanthropic causes. He joined United Law Group because it gives him an opportunity to marry his desire to help with his expertise in the legal system. [That's pretty far-fetched from our vantage point an attorney that wants to help others benefit from his legal expertise nope, doesn't sound right.]

The practice of law can easily become very sterile and corporate, says Stinstrom. But there's a passion for serving others that permeates the offices at United Law Group. I'm excited to be part of the solution for those in need.

[You know, we just can't get the Sean Rutledge email to his client example of a passion for serving others out of our mind: if you are not a complete shit head, you will realize you hired the best foreclosure prevention law firm in the country, rather than being a greedy loser, why don't you call and arrange a meeting/conference. Otherwise stick your complaints, we are so damn good, we win every case we touch, what is your problem? ] See our previous post.

Stinstrom is no stranger to serving others. He received two meritorious promotions from the United States Marine Corps before being honorably discharged in 1985, and has been actively involved in countless philanthropic causes over the years. [Hate to break this to you, man, but that was 24 years ago.]

His most current project is an event with the Orange County Rescue Mission called A Night of Hope. Pat & Oscar's in Irvine, CA, is hosting the evening. Their goal is to raise food, funds and awareness about the hunger problem in Orange County and across the country. [Now, that's worth noting good work Sergeant Stinstrom.]

It used to be that the homeless and hungry were a step removed, says Stinstrom. Now they might very well be your neighbor. Working with United Law Group gives me an opportunity to put my skills to work for a good cause at a time when record numbers of people are suffering. [Wait a minute, did he just liken consumers in foreclosure with homeless people? Uh — red flag alert.]

Notice of Disciplinary Charges filed in State Bar Court (Case No. 07-O-12983)

The essence of this State Bar Court pending action is as follows:

Upon Richard's father's death in 1997, Richard became 1st Successor Trustee of an estate valued just under $1 million which he was supposed to divide up according to the terms of the Trust from several bank accounts to various family members.

On September 18,1998, Richard wrote a check to the IRS in the amount of $112,345.00 for taxes owing on his dad's estate but the check bounced. Richard's sister, who was co-signer on the account, wasn't very happy about that when she found out three years later in 2001.

In big sister sued to remove him as Trustee and Richard received the complaint, but failed to answer it, nor did he show up at the hearing. The sister became the sole Trustee.

The Probate Court ordered Richard to prepare a full accounting of the Trust which he blew off. So, the sister did it and found that there was $521,702.20 unaccounted for. The Probate Court accepted the accounting and requested Richard's response which he failed to offer and was a no show at that hearing.

Stinstrom was found guilty of defrauding his own parent's Trust of $521,704.20 in an intentional act of embezzlement.

Stinstrom would be held responsible for $117,383.42 in interest on the embezzled funds.

Stinstrom's embezzlement caused the trust to incur tax penalties and interest of $67,914.54, and, thus, he would be responsible for that amount as well.

Stinstrom was held liable for double damages (an additional $521,704.20) pursuant to Probate Code section 859 as he had in bad faith taken, concealed and disposed of property belonging to the Trust.

The total Stinstrom was to pay: $1,228, 706.36.

Sister filed the judgment on March 10.

Stinstrom filed for Bankruptcy on April 23.

The amount of $1,228, 706.36 was eventually found to be nondischargeable for willful and deliberate injury by a debtor to another entity or to the property of another entity.

However, after all Richard's assets were liquidated, it was insufficient to meet the demands of the judgment therefore none of the proceeds went toward the judgment.

On June 26, The State Bar of California charged Stinstrom with several counts of moral turpitude, misappropriation, breach of fiduciary duty, and failure to cooperate in a State Bar investigation. That was almost a year ago.

Yet, he's still an active member of the State Bar of California and ready to show you his passion for helping others at United Law Group. Way to go, Chief Trial Counsel at the California State Bar, Scott Drexel.

Now folks, hurry on down to United Law Group to get a special kind of loan modification, if you know what we mean. If this man would steal from his own family what do you think he would do to you?
