Scummy scam artists! Please be wary of these people and follow my advice

I recieved an official-looking letter in the mail and saw that it was sent as first class postage, which makes it SEEM more official, but when I opened it and throughly read the whole letter I quickly decided to look them up on the internet to see if they were legit. I got this website (complaint) as my first search hit! Hmmm. Something tells me this isn't good.

The very first report I read has the same exact amount offered to them as to me! $2,536, 092.23 funny huh? It includes an (I'm sure its fake) account number that my supposed prize winnings are in without giving a bank name in which it might reside. Hmmm... Then there is the "It is important to note that our response must be postmarked by midnight, 4/3/09, and this deadline will be strictly enforced. WOW!!! Now that sounds official doesn't it?

But what gets me is the even more simple fact that the letter itself has been printed off on ink that fades as it goes on down the page! Either they need to buy a new printer or get a new supply of ink! Then they demand a payment of $20.00 in Cash, Check or Money Order. This should be a dead give-away people! CASH??? Really??? Now how is that supposed to be tracked? Money order? Can't be tracked once its cashed. Same as a check. This is truley a scam by mail and since I'm a postal worker we are told to be alert for this type of thing all the time and to (as I advise you) report it to the Postal Inspectors at your local post office, or call your local post office and ask for the Postal Inspector's phone number. It is a 1-800 number.

This is mail fraud! Do not be fooled! They can and should be prosecuted for this. I will be taking this to my supervisor when I go to work and ask him just what should I do to stop this and hopefully they will be stopped from harrassing and ripping off the American poor.
