Soliders and sailors hospital
Nightmare

In 1999, I was in Soliders and Sailors Hospital waiting to give birth to my son. I was in labor from the 2nd of July, (which was a Friday) to the 5th of July. I went through a horrible labor and delivery. The doctors and nurses wouldn't let me move out of my bed for 3 days. Wouldn't let me go to the bathroom. They told me to urinate on my bed. I made a statement about God. The 3rd of July, I said, "I hate God". It was used against me when my son was born. When it was time to push, I pushed for 3 hours then ended up in an emergency c-section. It took the doctors 2 hours to remove my son. My son's head was stuck. The drugs that the doctors gave me, ended up going to my son. He was rated a 2 on the apgar test.in five minutes he came to and got a 9 on the apgar test. The doctors thought they broke his shoulder from pulling on him so hard. They did an x-ray and found nothing because it was too early to tell. They never took another x-ray like they promised me they would. I woke up and I wanted to see my son. The nurses wheeled me to my room and asked me if I wanted to hold my son. I didn't want to hold him, because I was afraid of dropping him. I ask my husband to hold him up to me so I could see him. I was so tired and heavily medicated. The next 5 days was a nightmare. The nurses and doctors got together and decussed my case. They felt I had a bonding issue with my son. I would like to add, I was breast feeding at the time. They called the social worker from the hospial to do an evaluation on me. The doctors and nurses lied to the social worker several times. They tried their hardest to get my son away from me. They said I had no support system, that I hated God, my husband was on the road all the time, my family didn't care about me, ect. Lm/w3svc/74/root
