I recently received an e-mail message from www.bulldogminiatures.com (Lisa), the people we bought our 2 mini-bulldog puppies from. I was not surprised to hear that her "organization" was involved in some legal issues regarding their unethical breeding practices, however I was VERY surprised that she was contacting me to ask for a reference. We purchased 2 puppies from them and both transactions were AWFUL!!! I have read several complaints regarding both Lisa and Stacy at bulldog miniatures and bullldog exchange and can sadly report that my experiences were quite similar.
One of my puppies arrived extremely ill and we incurred hundreds of dollars in vet bills. When this information was presented to Lisa we were ignored. NEVER heard back from her regarding reimbursement for the bills. Our little baby was sick for months. The other puppy arrived in a crate that was dirty, with no food or water. And the puppy's size and behavior indicated he was malnourished and neglected. He did not appear to be 10 weeks old.
The only good thing that came out of this horrendous experience was our two little angels. They are wonderful. Unfortunately, their unusual appearance does make us question their purity, another issue not addressed by the breeders. I hope that no one else will have to be hurt by the unethical practices of these breeders.
