We moved from Richmond, CA to Clinton, UT with ORI Van Lines and our experience was great. The salesman was personable and he quoted us very accurately, they arrived on time to pack, load and deliver (in fact, wanted to deliver a day early but we were not ready), they could have used extra help when loading the truck as it took a day and a half, but all in all, we had a wonderful experience and would highly recommend them.
Before choosing them an agent from a major company came to our house and gave us binding estimate of 14,000 Lb at a very low rate.
Nobody else could compare to their price. An Ori van lines agent came to our house and gave us an estimate of 8,000 Lb with a similar rate.
How could it be that one company give us 14000 lb and the other one 8000 lb?
Eventually we finished having 8256 LB and I still have the weight receipt (public weight station) that I got from ORI.
So I think there is a scam of giving a much higher price in a lower rate so actually you pay a very high price per Lb…
