I need some help on advice as to how to handle this obviously counterfeit company that is continuing to claim I owe them money. I have recently started checking my Credit Reports and Scores to see why my score is not higher. I may have been slightly late a few times, but I do not owe anyone anything that is not currently paid up to date.
I find a derogatory comment on my report that states I owe Pinnacle Credit in St. Louis $3189.00. I live in East Texas, never heard of this company, and I have never done business with them.
I have contacted both Chase Bank who supplies my credit Protection Service and Experian to ask that they have this removed. They have both reported back that the company refuses to remove this charge — that I owe this to them. I have not contacted them about this, but they have not contacted me either - I have no documentation from them, and have never received any notice of money owed. Certainly, if someone owed me $3,189, I would have sent them a notice or called them at least once a week!!!
At age 73, I still work full time, am a widow, and manage a ranch in East Texas that raised American Quarter Horses. Although this business is a losing proposition due to the economy, I manage to pay my bills. This company should be closed by the government. I notice that there are 300 claims or more against them. Is there no agency that can step in.innocent people are being badly hurt.
I need information from someone as to how I can prosecute these people and obtain some help. This has never happened to me before.
