I purchased a kitten from Indigo Angles in Dec. Received the kitten on Dec. 29th. After the New Year, I took the kitten to 3 different veterinarian. I sought out a cat expert and she discovered that my kitten had several problems. Heart murmur, her cranial lobe is deflated (lung), fluid in the lung area, as well, in the abdomen. The kitten had to get a health certificate before it could travel via the airlines. It seems to me that some of these things should have been discovered. My vet picked up on the heart murmur right away. She also did several tests on the kitten. Blood work, x-rays, echocardiogram and more blood work. All of this has cost me $1317.75. My vet said that everything is pointing to FIP, (see link below) which is a deadly disease and no cure. This has been confirmed by two other vets and the echocardiology technician.
I had to isolate the kitten from my cat (per my vet), who was also tested. She, thank goodness was negative. I am doing everything in my power to take care of this kitten. I bought medication, and vitamins the doctors recommended. This is to make her comfortable for the time being.
She is experiencing labored breathing, as well as, having a bloated abdomen due to the fluid. Which are all conditions of this deadly disease. On their website they make all these guarantees on health, any congenital defects. Their contract states they will give me another kitten to replace this kitten. This is a contagious disease, which means it is more than likely some of the other cats/kittens in their care have the same thing. After all I have been through I don't even want to think about getting another kitten. I am heart broken that we are going to loose this sweet little baby. We have all become very attached to her but we can not change her fate. We are caring for her and making sure she is happy and comfortable until her unfortunate demise. Try explaining this to your six year old. It is very sad for all of us, but once she is gone I am still going to have these vet bills hanging over my head.
I have left them messages regarding all the above mentioned and I informed them that I do not want another kitten. I can't afford another one of THEIR kittens. Now they won't even call me back or respond to my emails. Shelley says they are "operating in the red", now I see why.
Another thing I would like to add: On there website they make all of these guarantees, but when it comes down to it they stand by nothing they say on their site.

"misrepresented cat they have 60 days to file a claim and prove to Paypal they deserve their money back! We have never had a client need to do that and happily accept Paypal to PROTECT our clients best interests"!
This is also a SCAM

Maybe having a "SWINE" vet isn't the way to go when you have a cattery and not pigs! Their "SWINE" vet had to get schooled on this disease by my vet, who is a cat expert and works exclusively with cats and dogs, NOT PIGS! He also had to seek help from the University of MN. What does that tell you!

They have never once offered me a kittens at their contract states.
Also the claim they make about filing a claim with PAYPAL is also false. PAYPAL states because the transaction takes place outside of Ebay they are unable to dispute the claim.
BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE!!! There are reputable breeders out there and Indigo Angels is not one of them!
Ms Haukoos states that Maya could have contracted this from an animal on the plane but that is highly unlikely because this contagious virus is transferred through feces and saliva.
They want to point the finger at eveyone else instead of take responsibility.
The kitten had to be put down on 1/30 after the final test, aspirated the fuild from her abdomin, which confirmed that it without a doubt was Feline Infectious Peritonitis. I have all documents and notes from the vets that saw my kitten confirming this.
