Update 1/20

I'm making this short still sinking in. Stormys goes for 2nd bile acid test in 3 weeks, she came in at 21, grey area not good, 25 is absolutely positive for shunt. We test in 3 weeks again to see if we get another gray reading. Vet said if it is a shunt with her lifetime problems she has had from day 1, she was born with it. Her ALT has gone from 455 to 109 but I've been giving her Milk Thistle, and Sam E.
So short and sweet to try help my girls get well there goes our life savings, funny how lil money means when one you love is sick. Puts everything into perspective. Storm when strong enough, hopefully she will be will get her hip fixed (dysplashia). Have not heard 1 word of help from her Breeder! Only denials, and excuses.
I know we have a rough road ahead. But by the grace of God we can make it. Looks like Storm and I may be taking a trip to UT. Thanx ahead. Please keep my babies in your Prayers. I could use a few too. This had been hard on us all emotionally and physically.

What hurts so bad is these lil guys don't understand why you are making them hurt and go through all this.

To puppy buyers

I can not stress enough to persective Puppy buyers. Please check out your breeder really good. Ask other breeders, most of them will be very honest with you as to who to stay away from. Just because they have initails like ASSA behind thier name doesn't mean they are good. Check living quarters, other siblings, parents, and ask for test papers, don't just go on their word for it. Hips, eyes, etc. Do a suprize check if they say they keep the pups in the house and you will probably find out they are not in the house as told. Nothing is 100% but a reputable breeder will stand by her pups all the way, and if any problems come up will be more than willing to help you. I have great respect for reputable breeders that really do the testing, keep to their contract, and take care of and socialize thier pups from the begining. It's alot of work but that's love. True love of our Breed.
