I purchased a car and along with that an extended warranty that was supposed to cover me for 2 years. I received the certificate, and the amount of the extended warranty was included in my financing. Since I needed some things taken care of the service station I brought my car to said I did not have a warranty. At first I thought he was scamming me, but I called myself and verified it not once, but twice. No record of any warranty for me, gave them the certificate number and the vin. I called Hempstead Mitsubishi on February 20,23, 24, and today the 25, and each person that I speak to asks me to leave my name and number and someone will call me back. I checked with the BBB and this company is not in good standing and has 18 complaints in the last 12 months. I will be reporting them to the BBB, the Attorney Generals office and Consumer affairs. So their scam is they take the money and they never give it to the insurance company, and maybe I will see if there could be criminal charges against them for theft.
