I was sent a check in the amount of $3875.00 to deposit into my bank account. I was told to do a mystery shop at a local Wal-mart and spend approximately $40.00 for a purchase. I was to complete a report on the manner of my experience (friendliness of employee, cleanliness of facility, etc...).
I was told to keep $200.00 for myself as payment for the mystery shop and to wire the rest of the money ($3575.00) back to The Job Planet.
I deposited the check and after it cleared I withdrew cash and then my bank notified me and stated that the check was a counterfeit. This brought my account balance to a negative (-$549.00).
My account is frozen until I pay back the balance out of my own pocket.
The Job Planet should be held accountable and penalized for this and should not be in business. They should be sent to jail and also pay a huge fine.
