Western reserve life insurance is sold via World financial Group, this company scams people out of thousands of dollars probably in the Millions now.
In August a friend of mine and former work colleague, was looking for work and responded to an ad that was posted in the penny saver. After going to an interview he discovoered it was for World financial group, based out of rancho Cucamonga California. At first he said he wasn't too sure because it just seemed like a sales job, the company was full of super motivators and after speaking to one of the associates who apparently makes over $100,000 a year he decided he would pay the $100 background check (or so they call it) to join the company. He then went off into some new age ideology and began thinking positive (a result of several sales rally's he attended) he even got involved in the secret (controversial documentary about positive thinking) that they recommended he watch. They promised him he would make thousands if not millions, and encouraged him to bring friends to meetings. Well long story short, he ended up paying the fees to take the online courses and eventually (after several tries) passed his state license test and began selling their life insurance policy's, oddly enough the company encourages you to start off with friends and family (obviously because friends and family will easily fall for anything new that you are trying in order to help you, they know this) and he ended up selling these cash value policies to about 8 of his family and friends (myself included) the months past and he slowly began to realize this company was no more than a pyramid scheme that was making people at the top rich off of the work of those at the bottom who most of the time realize what they are getting into and drop off. He realized that a lot of these folks who were making hundreds of thousands were actually making close to nothing and had regular jobs (one wonders why someone making hundreds of thousands has to keep their normal job) in the end he discovered the company is nothing more than a scam, they encourage you to seek family because its easier for them to sign things without fully reading them. The company preys on people with little to no college education, people with big dreams but little book smarts in the hopes that they will simply give their money up in hopes of one day striking it rich what legitimate insurance company is going to actively seek representatives that will fail the state test only to take it over and over, these are not people you want representing you, that's like going to a lawyer that took 6 tries to pass the BAR probably not a good idea, yet WFG doesn't care because all they care about is money. They promise you huge returns, in an effort to get you hyped up, please if someone drags you to one of their cheerfull sales rallys RUN these people are scammers and prey on weak minded people. There is no such thing as a financial counselor that only took a 30 hour online course!!!
I have an MBA from pepperdine, and i would NEVER Recommendthis company for finances!
