I purchased a 95 Dodge Neon from Reasonable Auto in October. The saleman told me that all it needed was a thermostat. That the sensor was bad. Told me it would only cost 5 dollars to buy and 20 for labor. I purchased the car for $1100
After driving off the lot, I tried to play the radio. The radio was not working so I tried to connect the wires. Guess what? The radio did not belong to the car so I went back and asked that he remove the radio from a junkier car or refund me a small amount so I could purchase a radio which I thought came with the car.
He threw 5 dollars in my face and threw me out, threatening to call the cops. I spent $150 dollars replacing the stereo.
In December the car was already falling apart, it was smoking, clanking and would stall like crazy. I evntually ended up on the highway, hitching a ride back home. The car would not move so the cops had it towed. It cost me $90 dollars to get it out.
It would not run so it had to be towed to a mechanic. Ac Auto said it would cost $600 to repair, in the end it cost 850 dollars to remachine the engine. I got the car back in February and it's now March and the car stalled on me again. I went to a mechanic and he said there was no hope, the engine's gone and my block is ripped off. I basically have a hole in my engine. He charged me 65 dollars for this testing and diagnosis. I feel Reasonable Auto and Ac Auto owe my some cash. Reasonable owes me about $2255 plus the fact that I wasn't able to get to my finals for school in classes that I was holding an A - and B averages in, and now I failed those classes.
