Trying to get me to cash fake checks

I received a letter in the mail. I noticed that it was mailed from Canada. The company, Market Poll Research, is in Texas. And the check was from Gwinnett INTL Farmers Market Inc. DBA Cobb Intl Farmers Market and they are in Georgia.

The is/was for $3,990.17

And it was broken down in the letter:

1.3 hours probationary training pay@the rate of $100 per hour... $300.00
2. Funds for shopping or Hotel Lodging...$200.00
3. Service Charge by Western Union/Money Gram...$170.17
4. Required Funds to be sent...$3,320.00
