My friend and I, both of us Disabled Vietnam Veterans visited the Applebee's at 660 Whitney Way in Madison, Wisconsin today, on Veterans Day. The service and treatment were extremely rude and uncaring. We had expected to be treated with some sort of courtesy and respect and did not recieve either. Our waiter was a jerk and my friend who doesn't get angry was very disturbed by this incident, to an extent which I have never before observed. He felt really bad for having suggested we take advantage of the offer which Applebee's had put forth on television for a free meal in honor of our country's veterans. It was a horrible experience from start to finish and we will never go to another Applebee's chain restaurant and will discourage anyone from eating in one of these places.
To any other chain restaurant that wants to mislead and abuse veterans, let it be known that really don't appreciate this sort of treatment.
