Fraudulent Practices, lying, all around bad players

I received charges for magazines that I had signed up for, but was assured that I would receive "notice in time to avoid additional charges". No notice was ever sent. I dispute the charge and this ripoff house says, "Oh, we have to charge you for the magazines you've already received this year."

Nice trick, considering that the subscription was ordered in January, but did not start til April, and I haven't even received the February version of the magazine.

But they wouldn't back down, so I contacted my American Express card.instead of just disputing the charge, as they are legally required to do, they instead tried "to work it out". BS!

This is fraud, pure and simple. It's a shame that American Express would besmirch its good name with this scheme.
