On Jan 14 i saw a add on tv about instant tax service i decided to use there service this year, i went in to there office filed my taxes and was told what i was recieving back it was fine i know nothing comes for free.
They offered return within ten minutes or you could have the option of 10-14 days or direct deposit. This is where it all went down hill. After filling my prepare came back with all my paperwork and wrote on my packet what my return was and that i was to come in on Jan 19th to pick up my check.
I go in on the 19th here's story number one were sorry there are no checks here i had to go to work so no problem i told them i would be back tomm.
Jan20th i noticed a police car out front when i went in again ohh were having problems with the bank by this time i'm trying to keep my cool and i told them that they are not delivering what they promised not just to me everyone and that they were wrong and false advertising.
In there advertisement and that they were in fault there attitude was pretty much pass the buck i asked to speak to the manger they said she had been out all week.
I found out the reason the police were there was due to the fact that ther was a mob of very angry coustomers out front because they were in the same situation as me.
On Jan21 i still had not recieved a refund and they blamed there banks for the problem one of the workers gave me the number to the bank insted of them calling they wanted me too.
When i called i found out that i was shorted close to $300 less than what they agreed to, after bringing this to there attention and showing them what the preparer told me i was told he made a mistake.
After that was determined i asked them to make the wrong right, there nothing we can do was the attitude while in the office i had the oppertunity to talk to several coustomers that were in the same situation as me or worse.
None of us felt that we should be charged with any fees due to them not delivering what they advertised. Then the owner said he would refund everyone an extra $100 dollars.
And at the end of the tax season that he would review and refund if he saw fit to i let them know that i would be seeking legal help for me and hopefully others also.
This didn't set right with me so i filed a complaint with thy better buiness breau. And after talking to two other coustmers one who was in tears she said she had been going through this for about 30 days and they had no check and still charging fees.
I decied to try to get this information out as much as i can and contact as many other consumers the have been wronged by instant tax service.in these tough times i feel no consumer should be treated in such a manner as this.
Also if anyone reads this and has good advice to make these wrongs right please contact me i know there has been wrong done worst than my situation i just want to bring it to light i feel complaining at home or to a friend doesn't help.
