I was taken by this Young man. He said all the right things. He was the age of my oldest son of 23years. "Sure why not, I thought." My boyfriend would love to get a subscription from Golf Week for his birthday coming up in May.
I had not a sign or a gut instinct of something being wrong with this guy. I pride myself for having pretty good instincts when it comes to this sort of thing. I was very cautious by only talking to him out my kitchen widow. I asked all the right questions until it felt right to open my door to him. I made the decision to say, yes.
I closed the door and got my checkbook, and wrote it out for $40.00. He gave me my two reciepts and asked me, "what was it about him that made me say yes to ordering this subscription from him today, honestly?" "Honestly, I told him that God told me it was Ok, and to help you out." He thanked me and shook my hand.
As he turned and walked away swiftly, and I closed and locked the front door, something or someone else spoke to me and said, "go get on the computer and check out Universal Subscription Agency, Inc. So I did. What I saw then, told me, I blew it! I had be scammed! How could I have been so wrong? So much for my instincts.
I immediately got on-line to my bank account and cancelled the check. It cost me $15.00 to learn a very good lesson. Remember this companies name and don't be fooled! Such A Dummy
