To Whom It may Concern,
It is my hope that who ever reviews this letter might be able to help in this matter.
I have been harassed over and over regarding my U-Call I Haul advertisement. As I have told several collections agents, that the add was wrong and never authorized them to place it in the first place. I do not have nor never did have a drop off trailer. They never corrected the problem from day one. It is now being said, that I am responsible for the bill of 300.00 or more. I was told by the Sales Rep Jonathan Givens. Quote that from the start that he would be sending me a rough draft of my ad for picking up scrap metal in my local area. I spoke with him for two hours and repeatedly said. Please send me a copy before you run this ad so that I could make sure it was correct. Did he do that? No. But instead he ran the ad which was a misprint. I have been contacted by potential customers but could not service them reason being that I do not own a drop off tailor. I pick up scrap metal. I also indicated that this was a hobby not a corporation. I am a victim and need this resolved. To all that would listen, please help. Now I have the numbers of over 15 individuals, that needed a drop off trailer. It angered me that, still. I am having to constantly tell people calling. Sir or Ma mm the add was a misprint. And they and myself really feel, that the Customer Service Rep: Jonathan Givens was just trying to meet the sales quota. Please help me. I have been threatened by collections agencies, that they will report me to the credit department, but maybe I should have reported this company from the start.
This Is an ad, that Is In The Yellow Pages Now. But that Does Not Represent What I Specifically Do:
Continued:
I was contacted by Sales Rep: Jonathan Givens on 1/15 after I submitted my complaint to other affiliated personal with Idearc Media. I again indicated to him that I was displeased with the ad that was being disclosed in the Verizon Yellow Pages. I told him that I was angry because he never returned my phone calls before this got out of hand. I again said that I did not own a drop off tailor and how did he come up with this. As we spoke he did say Willie, I can not refund this but I can correct the misprint. At that point I requested that he send me a copy of what the corrected ad would look like. I again reminded him that, The ad should display U Call I Haul
Free Scrap metal Pickup. Same Day Service and that it would list my number. Also that I did some light Hauling after that he decided to foward me a corrected copy but would not adjust the 300.00 dollar bill. I have with me a copy of the correction through the e-mail. If you can help. I can send the corrected copy.
Sincerely Willie James Smith
