I to was taken in by this scam. I surfed the net for bad credit loans. The next day i recieved a call from Charlie Fisher saying i had been approved for a 5000.00 loan. He faxed me a doc. That i was to sign and fax back and i did.
It sounded to good to be true that should have been my first clue. I had to send 900.00to secure the loan. It would have been added back to the princible of the loan. The day the money was supposed to be deposited i got a call that the lender needed another 900.00 because of my poor credit.
I thought it was the light at the end of the tunnel. I wanted to believe it was real so bad. The next time it was due to be deposited i got another call saying the lender had backed out and they were going to take leagal action aginst them. I told them i wanted a refund they in turn said it would be 30 days before they could do it.
I got upset and raised my voice to him. He yelled at me and said dont raise your voice to me or our conversation ends now and it will take 3 yrs to get your money back. The money was supposed to be deposited on jan. 2 2009 by 5 into my checking account. I wasent there so i contacted the bbb in charllette n.C.
I have since learned the address i was given dosent exist and the tellophone number has been dicconected. I dont know what else to do to maybe get my money back it has put us in a bad finanial situation we may loose our home and probabley our car.
