A icon appeared on my computer screen that I had not put there or know how it got there, it said internet sex provider. I cliked on it and took me to web site that had what looked the standard diclaimer about pornographic material, even to the end where it had the standard I'm 18 and "I accept" button.
I looked at the material thinking this was a standard "free" tour. When I was leaving the site I noticed my phone number on the screen, and something to effect that number was going to be
billed, it also said if I would like to see a copy of the bill I would be reciviving to click here, I did and got a page cannot be displayed message. I did'nt think much about it untill I got a bill for $102.69 that's 21 minutes at $4.99 per minute, some of those minutes were spent trying to figure out how someone could bill me for something that I had not entered one piece of data that athorized them to bill me.
As you may be able to tell from my e-mail address I have using the web for along time and I was not aware til now that by visting a site, that they could access your telephone number and having done that and my clicking "I accept" that I ccould be billed.
Had this site not hidden in thier disclaimer messeage the cost of $4.99 per minute charge, who in thier right mind would have accepted such outrages charges, certainly not me.
