I was contacted at my job the week of Dec.? And Dec.? - 17th and? -18th by a representative from Bahama Marketing Group or BMG TJF Corporation stating that I had defaulted on a loan by there company which now was 1,??? 00. I told the representative I had never heard of thet company or placed a loan with them. He stated it was done through the internet. I am aware of a loan with another company that I already have an agreement for 2 installment payment that is not associated with the noted company nor through the internet.
Knowing that I never heard of this company I still went back through my emails and junkmail to make sure I had never been sent anything from this company inwhich I had not. I also contacted the company which I do have a loan and the representative informed me their company already knew exactly what I was talking about and they are having their legal department press charges on Bahama Marketing Group or BMG TJF Corp and not to pay them at all, it's a big scam
The representative has been harrassing me at work with calls saying if I don't attempt to make the initial payment of $550.00 within the hour which the last call I took was December. 18 inwhich they still continue to call but I no longer take the calls. The calls still states it would be a legal matter which would be turned over to the courts and I would be prosecuted which is obviously a scare tatic. I called a contact who is knowledgable regarding law and we did a 3 way call to the company.
My contact spoke to the same man who was not willing to give his name but had a India accent and asked various questions as to the location of this company which he stated was Biloxi Mississippi and the first date they supposably sent the first contact via internet for payment which he could not answer and continued with the double talk saying that if payment was not made within the hour it would be a court matter. The contact stated that from previous calls this company continued to made the same threat days ago and the court papers had not been filed but the harrassing calls still continue.
My contact responded saying the documentation needed to be sent in hard copy to back up this claim and the representative stated once the payment was received at the bank who they would not give the name of they would send documentation. The response to the representative was that it is not the usual practice of a company to not send out certified documentation once they do not get a response from the supposably internet messages sent re default on a loan.
Also with all the identity theft and scams going on this company could not expect any money to be paid to a company that they know they never made a loan with and has done research on usacomplaints.com and atleast 82 reports filed to date regarding this company. At this point the representative got very angry and said he was going to transfer us to another person.
The representative that we were transfered to was a woman from India who only when asked stated she was the Senior legal officer who also give my contact and I the same double talk as to sending a payment of $550.00 within the hour via Western Union or court papers would be filed and I would be prosecuted for this action. The representative asked if my contact was a lawyer and it was noted they were not. My contact then asked what was the name of the agency who was handling this action and was told Kelly Johnson re Attorney for Restitution Department and that the money was to be sent re attention to Lesa Carron.
My contact also asked what was the Case # of the court document that were or was going to be filed against me and was given the information which was looked up on the pacer court docket system and nothing with my name or Bahama Marketing Group / BMG TJF Corporation came up. I still continue to get calls that I no longer take at my job from this bogus company.
