This company is a trip. They always refer to themselves as a law office which in reality they are just a credit collection agency. I tried to deal with them on a professional level but the guy who i talked with was very rude, yelling and threaten that if i didn't pay the amount they would garnish my wages, and take me to court.
They lied about sending me certified letters and that i failed to respond or pay within the 30 days. So i requested that they send me all the copies that they have on file of me not accepting the certified letters.
Well they NEVER sent me anything as the tracking #s they provided went to another state. I went on line to USPS.com to verify the tracking numbers and half of them belong to someone else or didn't exist. When the guy kept calling me, i instantly went into investigatve mode. I asked him to explain how i didn't get any notifications from the post office or any other carrier indicating i have a package to pick up if it was certified. He lied and stated that they 1st left it at my door, then he changed it and stated they left it with my neighbor. Now that is a bold face lie. For one my neighbors all know me and my next door neighbor is my firend. Also certfied letters or any mail is never left at another home. LIAR LIAR LIAR!!!
I had about enough of the calls and sent them a letter demanding ALL communication be sent to me in writing. Ever since then i never received not one phone call. The only mail i received was the letter indicating my rights and the 30 days to dispute. No certified letters no other attempts or anything.
Now 12/1/08 i get a call from some chick talking unprofessional and stating they are going to file with the court and garnish my wages. Because I am so sick of this company and they fradulent tactics to get payments WAY over the amount that is due I immediately went into " I don't give a crap" mode. I overtalked her on everything and told her i had nothing to say. So she responded with " i'm waiting for you to say you wont pay this bill" So i asked her to repeat exactly what i said word from word. I told her that i have nothing to say and that i will be talking with an attorney becuase what they are doing is wrong and illegal. She said" Please, don't even go there" and then said" i just want to resolve this bill" I told her i am not paying $8200 when they are not entitle to the charges, treble fees they have added on. She didn't want to hear it. She started talking about taking me to court and all. I didn't really hear her as at this point i was pissed off. So she got a taste of what to expect from me. She woudln't hang up so i just took it there with her nad she finally hung up.
I guess it doens't feel good when they get a taste of thier own medicine.
I am searching for an attorney to take this case because it has damage my credit really bad. I want to pay my debt but for a resonable amount and $8200 is no where near reasonable. So if anyone can help or is down to get a class action suit filed let me know. Enough is enough and these collection agencies needs to be held accountable for their fraudulent actions.
