Ok well once again I found myself single and this time in what seemed to be an incredibly long slump. Lonely and bored at this point I wasnt looking for Mrs. Right anymore, just maybe a friend with a little something extra if you catch my drift.
I tried all my local establishments for action. Bars, clubs, the gym, malls, bookstores, tanning salons, resturants and people I havent spoke to in a dogs age... Nothing. Clearing some junk emails from my desktop I noticed more then one ad for Adult Friend Finder. Honestly, I didnt do much thinking... I figured, hell. Maybe there are a few people out there just looking for fun, and if I find someone in my area that I wants to have "fun" and I can actually hold a conversation with, all the better. For 20 or so bucks for the month, f*ck it... Sign me up.
I am in no way a model, but I do take care of myself, I exercise everyday, eat right for the most part, take pride in having a strong looking physique. My teeth are white, Im not covered in tattoos or anything out of the ordinary. I think on a scale of 1-10, Im probably about a 7 when I go out. So of course I posted my best pics. Yes you will find PLENTY of guys who just have pics of their penis out there, or girls with no face shots... Plenty of "porn" type pics but there are also plenty of profiles of some really pretty girls who are single, and gave this a shot too.
I made sure to write a very well rounded profile, I have more tact then to have a naked picture of myself, I didnt look corny or creepy. Just a very young looking 32 year old guy, 1 pic with a tank top, and 2 other pics in casual dresswear. I wrote something along the lines of "I'm just trying this out, if your married, or not married I dont care. I can be here for a discreet affair, or also meet a cool girl that just wants to be friends and take it from there, I am not into groups, Im not bi or the least bit curious, just a straight guy for a straight girl. Im not here for drama"
Immediately I was BOMBARDED with emails from the service saying that ATLEAST 35 girls were a match for me, and get this... They ALL lived in my town!!! I'm thinking to myself, where the F*CK does THAT girl live around here? Ok, so whatever I spend a few hrs... Each day for like 2 weeks... Yeah a FEW hrs, for EACH DAY for 2 WEEKS... Saying hello and nice profile and pics, how are you etc etc... I found that for the initial money I paid, basically all it allowed me to do is view other peoples profiles. They couldnt respond to me at all and I was VERY limited to the people I could view. So bam, again I give another 10 bux to upgrade to the Gold status membership. Now, everyone can see me, I can see everyone, I can chat, send emails, get emails, flirt etc etc... So I try again... I tried the nice and innocent emails, to the flat out "I'd love to blank you" which generally went to the 50 yr old married milfs.
I NEVER got a reply, I NEVER so much as even had my profile viewed by anyone. With the exception of one sole member that I can see atleast viewed my profile... I have had absolutley no interaction with another human being on the website. And again, Im freaking out..."man am I that ugly"? And like I said, I KNOW Im no model... But geez... I do ok, Im not hideous or anything, and Ive always managed to date women that were probably slightly out of my league... I guess I have a good personality.
So I start paying more attention to whats going on, and do another account, this time I just did the free trial, and said I was from another town and state etc... Dont ya know that the 35 smokin hot girls that live in a small town in NJ, moved to a small town right outside LA? LOL... This site is a friggin scam.
I believe that some of the people on there are real, there are def live chat rooms, but its totally lame. Its nothing more then the AOL chat rooms... I think a few people got daring and took naked photos of themselves... And hey, maybe a few lucky guys and gals met up and had themselves a good time... But from what Ive seen and what Ive heard... Its mostly guys on the rebound that got reeled in from those 35 hotties that were dying to meet them now! Its bullsh*t, think it through and save your money. If thats really what your looking for... Hit the bars on a weekday when its a little more quiet and there may be a cougar or to willing to give you her attention.
If you are looking for a legit "dating" service, try match or singlesnet and take it from there... There is absolutley nothing valid about adult friend finder.com and whats worse is that half the reviews written about it on the net are so fake sounding its insulting to anyones intelligence. It boasts on how great it works... As far as I know its not endorsed by anything or anyone worth while... I.E. Howard Stern, Playboy, etc... Its just another run of the mill porn site that got me for 30 bucks... Now back to my local gym to see if I can find ATLEAST ONE of those 35 girls that were intrested in me.
