We rented this house from Neil Gann-on December the 15 of 2007. This house had no way to have heat in it unless Neil fixed whatever was wrong with the gas. He told us that it would cost more money then he had to fix the gas but if we would move in he would fix the fireplace in the den and that would heat up most of the house and for the front part we could use the big heaters he had (Electric). Well we moved in with all the other things in this house needing to be fixed-he promised he would fix everything. Well it is a year later-the fireplace has not been fixed and he gave me 3 very very small electric heaters to heat up this house. I have 2 kids and we are freezing. I begged him to do something and told him he couldnt. He did nothing.in this house there is a living room, den, a long kitchen, 3bedrooms and 1 bathroom. It is a big house and we are freezing. We have never been even 1 day late on our rent. The panneling is falling off the walls, my ceiling is falling through, the den has a leak in the roof-He put plastic on the roof and 30 big bricks on top of that-It looks horrible. He made me all these promises if we would just move in they would be fixed within 1 to 2 weeks. The only thing he has done was partially fix my toliet when it was overflowing (the reason i say partially is because he fixed it and it worked for all of 3 hours and i had to go buy and augur to fix it myself. When i moved in here the wires were hanging out of the wall-not only electrical also phone wires-he would not even fix that i had to pay an electriction, the phone company and the cable company to fix that. He does nothing. He will call you and say"i'm comming tomorrow to fix something-he never shows up and i tell you that man has had one excuse after another-his favorite excuse is someone died in his family. If he had that many people die he should have no family left. Even my neighbors will tell you that everone who has lived in this house has told them that he doen not do any work on this house. All the other tenants are like me -we put more in this mans house than he does. Thank God I am moving out of this house, but I do not want anyone else to have to go through what i went through. This man and his mother own alot of propertiy in Leeds alabama. I dont see how he gets away with doing people this way. He's trying to keep my deposit. There was also a building on this house that you can store things in-the agreeement was we would let him put some things in it and we would put some of our in it. Well when we moved in we noticed it has a lock on it so i ask him for the key-he told me no-he doesnt give anyone the key to his storages. So all my things had to be put on the back porch and get rained on. This man is so slick and tricky and tells one lie after the other. I came home one day and foung him in my kitchen. He said this was his house and he could come in when he wanted to. The sad thing is he also has these 2 trailers at 8826 ans 8830 azalia Drive in Leeds alabama. Behind those 2 trailer is a real big privacy fence-Behind that privacy fence is 4 trailers that he rents for 200.00 a week everything furnished-but they are hooked up illegally i believe-the cable is running from his trailer-to all the other trailers with a spliter-he runs all the power off of 1 pole-he uses 1 phone number split between 2 trailers (that comes from his trailer-also has gas and water. He charges you a deposit off 200.00 and you pay 200.00 a week. If you dont have his money one week he throws you out and he stands at your door till you get everything out-I know that is illegal. The reason I know about the trailer is because I lived there first. All this man wants is your money. This man needs to be stoped. If you are crazy enough to rent from this man-GET EVERYTHING HE SAYS IN WRITTING.
