Greentree Data Inc. Signed me up for monthly voicemail service without my authorization on my ATT phone bill. When I called them to ask when and where this happened they indicated it was via the internet. I asked for the email address used and they had an email address that I have never had. I told them this was a fraudulent sign up and I would not pay.
I asked for an immediate credit to my ATT phone they said they would cancel the service and send me a check. I said no, they would issue a credit as I would not pay the amount period. I had no intention of waiting for their check which might not show up. After several times back and forth she finally gave me an authorization for credit which I reported to ATT. The ATT agent said she had handled this same complaint several times but couldn't remember if it was with Greentree.
This is definitely a scam. Beware. Demand an immediate credit not a check. Don't pay the charges. ATT will credit your account.
