Volunteers beware, not covered under workers comp, users of good will, bad faith

I volunteered at the LCHS, because I love animals and wanted to help.

I came into contact with some animals that caused a severe allergic reaction. I was told to leave and see a doctor, I went to the ER, because my eyes were so swollen, I couldnt see, my throat was swelling shut, and had trouble breathing. I incurred a $500 bill, which I was told later that because I was a volunteer, I wasnt covered.

Volunteers beware.
