"Officer Adam Smith" called me at my workplace. He had an accent which made me think he is from India. He says he's with "United Legal Investigations" and he started reading off a social security number and asked me to confirm it. I immediately knew this was a scam so I started asking him questions. He was very hostile and told me his supervisor's name is "James Robertson" and his phone number is 213-325-3269. I thanked him for the information and said I'd call back another time and hung up.
He immediately called back and was shouting at me and said he was putting the supervisor on. I told him I was aware he was a scam artist and to never call me again or I'd get the police involved. He told me to "do whatever I have to do" and then said he would put the supervisor on. All of this was done in a shouting voice. I hung up on him again.
I notified the receptionist of the call and she advised me he'd asked for me by name. I sent her some information from this website about this company and asked her to stop putting his calls through. I later found out he called again.
After reading other reports on this site, I'm concerned about what is waiting for me on my home answering machine.
