Voting Issues

The polling opened at 6:00 A.M. I got to the polling place at 5:15 A.M. I was the third person in line and it appeared that the polling personnel were not ready. They looked like they were working. However, it took at least 10 minutes for them to find my name (apparent reasons listed below) Someone did ask if they could help. That person immediately started the process. The complaints are listed below: 1. The new personnel (very young looking women) looked for our names of the list of the people not qualified to vote. 2. They could not find my name or the name of the person behind me. They evidently found them with assistance. 3. They did not give me the pen to physically mark my ballot. I had to go back and ask for something to write with, luckily I did not try to use my own pen. 4. The system was not clear. Why in the world would the ballot have us draw lianes to an arrow? It took at least three swipes of the thin pen to fill in the arrow like the sample showed. The person in front of me (who was now late for work) had to redo his ballot. 5. They polling person did not fill out the precinct and ward lines on my ballot, so I had to wait for them to find a pen. 6. There was not a polling person to assist older citizen's in this paper and pen ballot. 7. People who voted early had a machine. What happened to the machine used during the early elections? 8. They did not have enough pens or sleeves to keep our ballots private.
