Assurant Health And Its Agent
Mislead by Assurant Health they pass the buck to reprentative Agent Ray Ackerman Ft Lauderdale Florida

Please be advised,

After months of going back and forth with Assurant Health Care it is now obvious they use and condone their representing agents to mislead and falsely represent their policy coverage during the initial sales call. Representing agent Mr. Ray Ackerman sold me a policy and discussed it with me for more then 2 hours before I purchased it. What he sold me and what the policy actually was were very different. Even to this day I have never received a policy book from Mr. Ray Ackerman. I did receive the insurance card and monthly invoices for payment from Assurant though. I attempted to correct this with Florida Consumer Affairs and I also seeked legal advice. Both noted to me the separation between Assurant representative's agents and Assurant Health Care direct. THIS IS A CORPORATE / FLORIDA STATE SCAM that is backed by law. It is not just in anyway and represents how bought off our legal system is by large corporations.

If I knew that I would have been denied coverage and offered partial coverage, I would have not purchased Assurant Health through Mr. Ackerman. Obtaining a different providers policy or just lived with the pain and discomfort, as well as not cut a check every month to Assurant Healthcare. I now must take full responsibility for my actions and will NEVER trust an insurance agent ever, without fully reviewing the complete policy before agreeing to it. I have over $7000.00 of bills driven by Assurant pre-existing denial (even if it was never diagnosed) and after paying my $2500.00 annual deductible being further charged co-insurance payment of 50/50 to $5000.00 in which I have never heard of until after the bills started coming in. Thanks to Mr. Ackerman and Assurant Health I will be negotiating payments to end this mess.

Simply put: Assurant uses Agents to represent them. The agents have no accountability to be honest. The State of Florida and the lawyers I spoke to agree it's very wrong but no laws have been broke? Be careful and learn a new term
