I paid $1500 down on a 2003 Ford Taurus financed by Alternative Finance which is Holmes motor's high risk in house lender. Jimmy is the name of the person who is the manager of that department. My payment was 2 weeks over due and I called and talked to Jimmy that Saturday and told him I would be in the following Wednesday to pay it. Jimmy said no problem and I told him I would pay the late fee. He said sure come anytime.
That next Monday just two days before I get paid I got off from a 11 hour day and was walking to my car. My car was gone. I called Holmes Motors asking for Jimmy. The receptionist said he left already this was around 5:30 pm. I have his personal cell phone number and called that and he would not answer I had my husband call him and he picked up right away. He asked him what happened and Jimmy said I dont know I will have to check into it.
I called Holmes back and asked to talk to an owner, she transferred me to Brian Holmes. Brian said I dont know anything you will have to talk to Jimmy, I said hold on this is part your car lot and he didnt say anything and I asked did jimmy work all day he said yes and he is still here. I said okay I want to talk to him now. So Brian got Jimmy on the phone. Jimmy said that I had not asked him if he was going to reposs the car. What??? Are you kidding? I said okay what will it take me to get my car back. He said the car note and $500 repo fee. What??? You are going to charge me $500 for about a $15 gas job.
No I told him I wanted my things. He said that I could come get them this afternoon. I am in Pascagoula stranded at this point. I asked him if my husband could come get my things which included my son's car seat he said sure. My husband got there and he said oh you have to have the key to get it. (keys are with me)... I finally made it to the car lot around 6:45 pm. I went to the car with my sister in law and jimmy. I bought my own locking gas lid and I went to take it off the car and put the old one on. He ripped it out of my hand cutting my hand and slammed my trunk down on me nearly hitting me and said put that back or leave the property.
It went downhill from there. I am not doing business with anyone who is liar. I told him all he had to do was be honest with me on Saturday and I would have brought the car to him. No he wanted to pick it up so he could make an extra $500 this week. That is what this car lot does, they are having hard economic times and they are using any avenue as a means to make extra money.
I will not ever do business with these type of shady characters if I have to walk. Take my advice I lost $1500 on this deal. If they do it once they will do it again and maybe worse next time.
I cant believe a man acted hostile towards me like that I am not use to that type of disrespect and verbal abuse from any man let alone a stranger. They have not heard the last of me.
