I got my money back, it wasn't easy but I did it. The first thing I did was I did not give up and I let them know that I did mean business. I called three and four times a day and documented every time I called and every person that I spoke with. I went on line to the Secretary of State of South Carolina and found out the registered agent's name to the corporation. I wrote him a letter. I wrote a letter to the local newpaper and I wrote several letters to a television new station.
Whenever I email JK Harris, I sent a copy to the news station. I wrote the Secretary of State of South Carolina. Beware though, they will send you a release before they send you the money and guess what they won't pay you. However, you have released them from any responsibility. The kicker is the release says that you will not speak badly or write anything bad about them. How can you write anything else? IRS is under new guidelines and have been for quite some time. Believe me they have better things to do than put liens on people's property and bank accounts nor do they really want to. I called IRS and wrote down the person's name that I spoke to together with her ID number. I explained my situation to her—basically I owed $26,000 in back taxes and could not pay. She sent me some paperwork, which I completed to the best of my ability and sent back. I was then set up on a payment plan for 5 years. Now after 5 years if all of my payments are made on time I can request that the penalties and interest be refunded. I have never known IRS to refund the interest but they may well consider the penalty. I took all of my frustration out on the people that deserved it J.K. Harris. I suggest you go to the top guy and make your situation known. Also, I went to the place where they had their makeshift "office" with copies of what had happened neatly typed and without harsh words. I simply named it "Reasons why you don't want to do business with these peope." I put several copies into each magazine. Posted it on the inside of the bathroom door (yes both of them).
Whenever I went to a restaurant or mall area I would pull out one of my sheets and post it on the bulletin board if available and always on the bathroom door. I waited until someone forwarded an email to me that had 999 names on it. You know the ones, "If you love highways, forward this to five of your friends and you have good luck forever!" Well I would reply to everyone and merely say, "Beware, JK Harris is stealing from the American public, warn your family and friends to NEVER use them. It is cheaper and wiser just to go to a CPA because the paperwork is the same only with a CPA you get results." Now it took me 18 months of this to get my money back but I finally did. My advise is don't give up that is what they want. America is built on free trade but also honest trade and they need to be put out of business because of what they call trade. If American stops going to them, then they stop working. Good luck!
