American Eagle came into my home on 8/2/08 and sold me a kirby vacuum, the next day I called to cancel the deal. On 8/4/08 the machine was picked up by Dale Halas. I then received a payment book from their financ co. I called the finance co to cancel and was told that only American Eagle could cancel. I have called American Eagle a minimum of 25 times and cannot reach The owners Tina or John as they are never availiable, nor do they return calls. I did exactly what the contract explained, even sent a registered letter to cancel and have a return receipt that American Eagle received the letter on 8/05 at 8 am, which by contract was on time. I need help to cancel this. I am a widow, raising two grandchildren and really cannot afford to hire an attorney to save my credit. Help!!!
