On 6/21/08 Derek Lutz approached me as I was gardening. Although polite this high school student was very high pressure and wouldn't leave my property until he talked me into buying a magazine for points for his education. After some time, against my better judgement I ordered Humpty Dumpty magazine for my grandson. The red lights should have went off when he said he preferred cash for the transaction.instead I wrote him a check paid to RLA Inc for $48 and received a receipt #231929. He told me I should get the first issue in about 60 days.
After checking the receipt it does say 120 - 160 days... What magazine takes 3 -4 months to send you an issue? Clearly this is a fly by night outfit that encourages snake oil representatives to do their bidding. I am upset with myself for falling for this ploy and would very much like to get my money back at this point. If another representative comes to my neighborhood I will call the local authorities so other consumers are not victimized as I was.
